Cricket Bookies Arrested in Kushaiguda, Vanasthalipuram - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: As India readies to take on West Indies in the T20 World Cup semi-finals at Wankhede in Mumbai, cricket fever reached its peaks all over the country and the bookies are making their hey day.The city police on Thursday arrested 11 bookies in various places including Kushaiguda and Vanasthalipuram and recovered over Rs95 lakh in cash, vehicles, cell phones and laptops. Several other bookies fled their dens.

The semi-finals match opened with West Indies opting for fielding after winning the toss. Meanwhile, Rahane Jinkya replaced Sikhar Dhawan and Manish Pandey is playing in place of Yuvraj Singh.

Crores of Indian cricket lovers are looking at only one man - Virat Kohli for the victory in the match which can place India in the finals. India won the first T20 World Cup in 2007 beating Pakistan in South Africa. However, West Indies won the title in 2012.
