An alliance brewing between Congress and CPI?

CPI state secretary K Narayana on Friday met All India Congress Committee general secretary, in-charge of Andhra Pradesh affairs, Digvijay Singh and newly appointed Telangana PCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah. The latest political changes in the state was the subject of the discussion. 

His meeting with Singh gained significance in the backdrop of Telangana Congress leaders contemplating poll alliance with left parties.

After meeting Singh, Narayana said that he met the latter to thank him for his role in the formation of Telangana.

On Thursday, State leaders of CPI (M) and CPI held a meeting at CPI headquarters Maqdoom Bhavan and came to an agreement on fighting the Municipal elections together.
