CPI leader held for forgery
Leader of the city committee of the Communist Party of India (CPI) Shanker Naik was today arrested by the Cyberabad police for his alleged role in the Bhoodan Yagna Board land scam.
The CPI leader is accused of preparing some fake documents with the aim of cheating the public. A case has been filed with the police that he had duped 500 persons to the tune of Rs 60 lakh.
On October 9, more than 500 persons approached Cyberabad police alleging that Shankar Naik had duped them by creating forged ownership documents of Bhudana Yagna board lands. Police booked a case against the leader and took him into custody today.
