Court adjourns Jagan's bail plea hearing to Dec 17
The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday adjourned the bail petition hearing of YSR Congress party president, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy till December 17.
This isn't the first time the court's adjourned the hearing. On December 11 too, the High Court had adjourned statutory bail petition filed by Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy till December 13.
It may be recalled that in November, in a fresh bail plea under section 167(2) of the CrPC, Jagan's lawyers said he was exercising statutory rights for grant of bail in relation to all offences in the case registered against him, where probe has not been completed within the specified period of 90 days from the date of his arrest.
Several CBI enquiries and probe has time and again proved that there's not an iota of truth in the charges framed against Jagan that has kept him in Jail. Jagan is lodged in the Chanchalguda Central Prison since his arrest on May 27.
On December 4, the Cabinet ministers gave a clean chit to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy by notifying that all the 26 GOs that were issued were in accordance with the business rules and secretariat instructions and also in accordance with the decisions taken by the entire Cabinet.
There was nothing wrong done in issuing the 26 GOs. The ministers made it clear in their counter petitions filed in the Supreme Court that there was no wrongdoing in issuing 26 GOs favouring companies that had invested in Jagan's firms.
All the GOs they had issued during late YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s regime, were in the best interests of the state and to promote industrial development, the ministers said in court.
The ministers maintained that there is no question of quid pro quo in favour of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
