Couple crushed to death by proclainer in Krishna district

Machilipatnam: A married couple, sleeping on the road-side, was today killed after they came under the wheels of a proclainer in Gurajepalli village in Krishna district, police said.
The driver of the proclainer, while returning after completing the work, did not notice a couple sleeping on the service road and crushed them to death, Guduru Police Station Sub-Inspector Wilsonbabu said.
The deceased were identified as S Sathyam (55) and his wife S Kotamma (50). A case under relevant sections of IPC has been registered and investigation are underway, he added.
