Couple celebrate wedding by donating blood in Rajahmundry

An Indian wedding is a predictable affair. After the event gets over, the couple is sucked into a whirlpool of traditions that include an immediate visit to a place of worship, relatives and the like.

However,  for Rajahmundry couple,  Kiranmayi and Siddhartha, wedding meant entering into a new phase of their lives. And they wanted to mark this momentous event by doing a noble deed.  

Instead of visiting temples to seek blessings, the duo, soon after the wedding ceremony, rushed to donate blood.  

They said that giving blood was akin to giving life and they wanted to do something as beautiful and selfless as that to remember their wedding.
