Cops mistaken as kidnappers, severely thrashed

Seven Andhra Pradesh cops had an experience they can never possibly forget recently when they were on a mission to nab a criminal in Bangalore.

The person in question committed a theft in Andhra Pradesh and took shelter in Bangalore. Seven cops from Chittoor landed in Bangalore and went to Adigara Kallahalli in Sarjapura area to nab one Arshad, involved in a theft in andhra region.
They nabbed Arshad and tried to bundle him into a Tavera vehicle with Karnataka number plate in the front and Andhra number in the back. However, the onlookers mistook them for kidnappers and attacked them.
The policemen were badly thrashed. The crowd did not relent even when one of the policemen showed his ID card. Only when the Karnataka police arrived on the scene were they saved from the thrashing.As SI and a constable were grievously injured in the attack. Arshad too suffered severe injuries. They are now admitted in a local hospital.
