Cop thrashes devotee in Srikalahasthi

A devotee from Anantapur was seriously injured when a Special Protection Force constable allegedly beaten up him at the Srikalahasti temple in Chittoor on Monday morning.

According to reports, Gangadhar, a native of Dharmavaram in Anantapur, tried to avoid the queue line. Enraged policeman thrashed him with the lathi. The devotee fell unconscious after he was hit on the head.
The incident happened when a large number of devotees turned up to have darshan of the goddess since it is Monday. He was rushed to a nearby hospital.
