Convict commits suicide in Cherlapalli jail

Hyderabad: A 22-year-old convict, who allegedly attempted suicide at Cherlapalli Central Prison here, died at a government hospital on Sunday.
B Siva Kumar attempted suicide by hanging himself in his prison cell when the jail staff noticed him and rushed him to hospital, stated a release from Cherlapalli Central Prison. Doctors found him in unconscious state and after verification declared him dead, it added. Further investigation is on.
