"Convene Assembly sessions for at least 30 days": YSRCP leaders
YSR Congress Party leaders, Amarnath Reddy and Srikanth Reddy called on the the government to convene Assembly sessions for at least for 30 days. They wondered why the government was shying away from discussing the problems of the people.
The YSRCP leaders criticized the Leader of the Opposition, Chandrababu Naidu, saying that he seemed to have abdicated his responsibility of fighting for the people on issues of public concern.
Chandrababu Naidu had planned to launch his padayatra on October 2, only to remain in public memory and for his political survival, they said. The CM, they observed, was scared of conducting cabinet meetings or convening the Assembly. The news of merging the YSRCP into the Congress is baseless, they said. This was false propaganda launched by a section of the media, they said. The YSRCP leaders also alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was playing the role of an advisor to the Congress party.
