Controversy Erupts Over Nayeem’s Funeral In Bhongir
Bhongir: The last rites of dreaded gangster Nayeem are turning out to be as controversial as his life has always been. His brother and the other relatives, who were handed over the body of Nayeem, who was shot dead in an encounter on Monday morning near Shadnagar, are refusing to perform the last rites till his wife and children come.
Nayeem’s wife, children and his acolytes are currently in police custody and raids are being conducted for the second day on the houses of Nayeem, his relatives and friends.
The notorious gangster owns more than 40 plots in Puppalguda and Manikonda, besides owning scores of plots in Hyderabad city. He is also reported to own huge chunks of land around the Airport. Sources said he owns 500 acres in Bommala Ramaram of Nalgonda.
The body of Nayeem has since been shifted to Bhongir, his home town. To prevent any untoward incident, the police have been deployed in large numbers.
Nayeem, a former Maoist, had turned into an anti-Naxal after he surrendered. He was responsible for eliminating several top Maoist leaders, including Patlolla Sudhakar Reddy, Belli Lalitha, Sambasivudu and his brother Ramulu.
Meanwhile, raids continued on the houses of Nayeem and his relatives. To their utter shock, the police found that Nayeem owns 69 acres in Kondapur, worth over Rs 10000 crore.
