In a shocking incident, a constable on duty shot himself to death in Purushottampatnam police station on Saturday morning.

Purushottampatnam is in Gannavaram mandal of Krishna district. The police man was identified as David Raju and is a head constable. He has been working as a writer in the police station.

Normally, the cops deposit their revolvers with the writer by every evening. Similarly, David Raju had several service revolvers with him. On Saturday, he reported to the office and went out. Moments later, gun shot was heard and he was found dead. He apparantly shot himself with a service revolver.

Sources said he had no problems with any of his collagues and no issues at home. The police are investigating.
