Constable, 2-Month-Old Son Killed In Road Accident, Wife Injured

Hyderabad: A constable and his two-month-old son were killed and his wife seriously injured after the car they were travelling in rammed into a truck on Saturday.

According to the police, Shankarapuram Srinivas(30) who was working as a constable at Jagadgirigutta police station was heading to his village in Bijapur with his wife and son in his friend's car. The mishap occurred near Malkapur on Hyderabad-Bijapur highway when one of tyres of the car got punctured. The car rammed into an Army truck leaving the constable and his son dead on the spot.

The Army men, who were in the truck pulled out the constable's wife from car and shifted her to Osmania General Hospital for treatment.

The police registered a case and handed over the bodies to relatives after post-mortem.
