Congress trying new methods to woo candidates in Seemandhra? - Sakshi Post

N Raghuveera Reddy, the newly appointed chief of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) of the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh, has been urging defectors who quit Congress, to rejoin the party in a bid to regain lost ground.

With Congress lacking contestants in Seemandhra region, the ruling party seems to be coming up with new proposals to woo candidates.

Speaking to a news channel, Raghuvera Reddy announced that they are ready to welcome former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and other expelled Seemandhra MPs into the party.

He exuded confidence that troubles for Congress party is not new and that it will regain its strength soon. " There were no takers in 1994 for ZPTC and MPTC elections, after  Congress lost power. But it bounced back.  I agree that there are no contestants for municipal elections. But we are coming with a new strategy," he added.

The new PCC chief also said that they are requesting the Congress High Command to give a chance to those who contest for Assembly seat in these elections to contest for 2019 Assembly elections as well.
