Congress seniors leave for New Delhi

The Congress High Command summoned senior Congress leaders from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for consultations.

The call assumes significance in the wake of Congress high command's decision to clean up the party mess post defeat at the hustings.

PCC presidents of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Ponnala Lakshmaiah and N.Raghuveera Reddy,  former minister Chiranjeevi, working president Uttam Kumar Reddy and others had left for New Delhi on Monday morning.

These leaders are likely to submit a report to party high command explaining the reasons for the party's defeat in the recent elections.

The leaders are also likely to discuss on ways and means to devise a strategy for future. Also, the exodus of MLCs from the Congress in Andhra Pradesh is also likely to be discussed.
