Congress leaders absent for swearing in ceremony

Senior Telangana leaders from Congress party were conspicuous by their absence at the swearing in ceremony of chief minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday.

Telangana PCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah, senior Congress leader K.Jana Reddy and other senior leaders gave the ceremony a miss.

Congress leaders have blamed the TRS for not extending a proper invitation.

TRS sent invitations to key leaders of Congress Party asking them to attend the ceremony. But, that was not followed by telephone calls requesting them to attend the ceremony.

TDP president N.Chandrababu Naidu and former chief minister N.Kiran Kumar Reddy also did not attend the function.
