'Congress can'’t be faulted for bifurcation'

Senior Congress leader and former minister N.Raghuveera Reddy said that all those leaders, including Kiran Kumar Reddy, who left the party are nothing but cowards.

“It is not proper for Kiran to blame Congress for the bifurcation,” said Raghuveera.

Speaking to reporters at Anantapur on Friday, “Congress did no mistake by dividing the state. It only fulfilled the 60-year-old dream of Telangana people.”

He said that the letter given by Telugu Desam Party president Chandrababu Naidu also played a vital role in the bifurcation of the state.

Reddy demanded the Centre to make Kurnool as the next capital of residuary Andhra Pradesh.

He advised the centre to finalise the next capital only after holding discussions with people from the 13 districts of Seemandhra.

“The cases that were registered against the people in Telangana  and Seemandhra regions during their respective agitations should be lifted,” said Raghuveera.
