Cong senior leader joins YSRCP in Krishna

Nagaluri Durgaprasad, general secreaty for Krishna district Congress Committee (DCC) bid adieu to the party and announced to join the YSRCP.

He said he sent his papers to the PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana on Sunday. He made a statement in the presence of the party leader Samineni Udayabanu.

Nagaluri's resignation is expected to be a major setback to the Congress party in Krishna district. He was playing key role in the party and take a lead in the party activisties. He was joining the YSRCP as it has credibility among the public.

Covid cases rise in India; govt says monitoring the situation

New Delhi, May 31 (IANS) Amid the latest wave of Covid-19, the number of SARS-CoV2 infections in the country has risen to 2,170. As many as 511 new cases were recorded from the previous day, according to the latest update by the Health Ministry on Saturday. Meanwhile, 255 patients were discharged or migrated in the last 24 hours, indicating an improvement in recovery.
