Cong moves HC on TRS' Operation Akarsh

The Telangana Congress Party moved the High court on defections from the party into the ruling TRS.

Party whip MS Prabhakar Rao filed a petition in the court seeking disqualification of Congress MLCs who have defected to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).
TDP senior leader Erraballi Dayakar Rao also filed a writ petition stating that there was a delay in dealing the defectors of TDP.
Admitting the petition, the court issued notices to Auditor General to submit the reports on what actions have been taken on defections.
The court also asked to submit the report by January 27 and adjourned the matter for next week.
