Con Man Dupes Techie On Pretext Of Providing Call Girls

Hyderabad: The Cyber Crime officials arrested one K. Venkatesh for duping a techie on the pretext of providing call girls. Complainant Sudershana Reddy(23) said he saw an advertisement on the Locanto website promising to provide call girls, which was posted by SairaAngel.

When Reddy called the number posted on the ad, Venkatesh spoke to him and asked him to transfer Rs7,000 to a bank account through PayTM. The victim said he transferred amount but after receiving the money, his number was blocked by the accused. Reddy approached the police with a complaint. The police traced the number and nabbed the accused from Jadcherla.

Police said the accused was doing this to several people for some time. A case has been registered against Venkatesh under sections 406, 419, 420 of the IPC and relevant sections under Information Technology (IT) Act.
