Coal transportation halts at Wanragal
Following a technical snag, transportation of coal came to a halt from the Warangal coal belt on Friday.
Singareni weigh bridge at Bhupalapalli reported a technical snag due to heavy gales as electric wires fell down. The coal-laden lorries were stranded on the bridge as computers reported malfunctions. Coal transportation was disrupted to Kothagudem Thermal power station (KTPP) and other industries.
Meanwhile, power generation was stalled at Simhadri power plant due to a technical problem in the second unit. The officials said power generation of 500 MW was hit due to the problem. Efforts are on to restore the production.
