CM's Indiramma Bata at Mahabubnagar begins
Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy would begin his mass-contact programme in Mahabubnagar district today. The programme, `Indiramma Bata', is aimed at assessing whether the Government schemes were reaching at the grassroots level and interacting with local people.
Reddy will reach Devarakadra Zilla Parishad High School from Hyderabad in the morning and hold a meeting with officials and others, an official release said.
During the day, he will interact with persons with disabilities and disability self-help groups, shepherds, fishermen, farmers and also inaugurate an irrigation project and address a public meeting. During his three-day tour under `Indiramma Bata' in Mahabubnagar, he will visit interior areas and tribal hamlets and also inspect tribal welfare schools, hostels, interact with students, farmers, women SHGs, shepherds and tribals, the release said. He will review the Government's flagship programmes like Indira Jala Prabha, drinking water schemes, Re-1-kg rice scheme, `vaddileni runalu' (interest-free loans) for farmers and women SHGs. Reddy has so far toured East Godavari, Srikakulam, Khammam, West Godavari and Kurnool districts for three days each as part of the programme.
