CM Kiran Kumar Reddy's silent protest at Jantar Mantar
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has started his silent protest, against the tabling of Telangana Bill, at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Wednesday. Several ministers and MPs from Seemandhra also joined the protest.
Prior to the protest, the CM paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat in the capital. Ministers Erasu Pratap Reddy, Anam Vivekananda Reddy and APCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana also paid tributes to Gandhi.
Several Telangana leaders raised slogans against the chief minister when he was about to leave A.P.Bhavan, in Delhi.
As per reports, the team led by the CM will meet President Pranab Mukherjee after the protest is over. They will request the President not to recommend the bill on Telangana in Parliament.
