CM involved in coal procurement scam: Nagam
Telangana Nagara Samithi convener and Nagarkurnool MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Thursday alleged that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy was involved in a coal procurement scam.
He questioned the CM as to why the government was buying coal at high prices when the private companies were buying the same at lower cost?
Nagam said he would soon file a case on the issue.
Coming down heavily on the CM, he demanded the immediate resignation of Kiran Kumar Reddy as he had failed totally on the power supply front.
There was all-round shortage of power and in spite of it the state government was proposing to hike electricity consumption charges for domestic, agriculture and industrial consumers.
He also criticised TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu for not paying tributes to Telangana martyrs during his 'Vastunna meekosam' padayatra in the region.
