CM hits out at Naidu's 'impractical' claims
Taking a dig at the opposition party, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday said: "For your political gain, don't ruin the system."
He said, some leaders were making false statements on farmers' loan waivers for their political gain. Indirectly referring to the TDP party, the CM questioned how Rs. 80,000 crores could be waived? It is only possible for the centre to waive such a large amount, he said.
Asserting that there was a heavy burden on the government, Kiran Kumar Reddy said, 15 thousand crore rupees interest was due under the 'Pavala Vaddi' scheme. He sought the central government's cooperation to bear the burden.
The CM also claimed that he also played a big role when the 'Pavala Vaddi' scheme was implemented.
It may be recalled here that Kiran Kumar Reddy while addressing a 'Indiramma Bata' rally in Medak district on October 31 had also alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was misguiding common people during his ongoing padayatra.
Recalling the TDP chief's promises he said, "Chandrababu Naidu is promising to waive loans of farmers, which will be to the tune of Rs 80,000 crore by 2014. This is something the state cannot afford," he had said at that time.
