Hyderabad: Telangana IT& Panchayati Raj Minister KT Rama Rao had expressed his deep anguish over the tragic death of two-year-old girl Shanvi after falling in an abandoned borewell in Nalgonda district on Tuesday morning.

Following the tragic death of Shanvi even after a hectic unsuccessful effort, KTR expressed his anger on officials of Nalgonda district over the negligency of letting the unused borewells be unclosed. He had passed an order to close all the borewells that are not in use in Telangana state. Also, the Minister ordered officials to register a case against the owner of the borewell which caused the death of the toddler.

The two year-old girl Shanvi fell into borewell in an agriculture field while playing around it on Monday evening and died in the small hours of Tuesday after nearly a ten hours of unsuccessful hectic effort to save the child.
