CLC holds dharna to protest death penalty

Members from the Andhra Pradesh Civil Liberties Committee held a dharna in front the Ambedkar statue at Tank Bund in Hyderabad on Saturday. They were protesting against the hanging of Afzal Guru.
The activists demanded that India abolish capital punishment. The police took progressive writer Varavara Rao, along with others into custody.
