Class 9 Girl’s Killer Arrested

Hyderabad: The police on Monday arrested the killer of the girl whose body was found at an isolated spot near Gandipet on Sunday.

With the help of CCTV footage police officials on Monday arrested a man in connection with the murder of a teenage girl whose body was found at an isolated place near Gandipet on Sunday.

He took her to an isolated spot in Gandipet area and made sexual advances towards her which she rejected. The accused then hit her on the forehead with a stone repeatedly. He also tied her hands with a piece of cloth and gagged her. The girl died on the spot and Akbar fled

The accused has been identified as Mohammad Akbar (25) a vegetable vendor, while the victim has been identified as Ameena Mariyam (14) a class 9th student from Noori Nagar, Bandlaguda in Chandrayangutta.

Police said that Akbar befriended Ameena promising to marry her and persuaded her to elope with him. As per instructions Ameena stole Rs. 40,000 cash and four tola gold jewellery from her house and went with Akbar on his bike.
