City Born Dance Exponent Sets World Record By Performing 7 Times At British Parliament

Hyderabad: Ragasudha Vinjamuri has set a world record by becoming the first artiste to perform Indian classical dance in the Houses of British Parliament for seven times on different themes on various occasions. Her feat was recognized by the World Records Indians team.

The dance exponent was born in Hyderabad, but moved to the UK 12 years ago. She learnt Bharatanatyam under Guru late Dr Uma Rama Rao. She also has the credit of staging Lambadi dance for the first time in the UK at the Nehru Centre of High Commission of India.

She was awarded Pravasi Stree Shakti Award and was also shortlisted recently for the prestigious Asian Women Achievers awards under the Art and Culture category.
