CID Questions Bhumana for 2nd Day; YSRCP Demands CBI Inquiry into Tuni Violence

Guntur: With a view to tarnish the image of YSRCP, the Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP Government is blaming the Opposition for all its failures, said former MLA and senior YSRCP leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy.

Speaking after coming out of the CID office in Gutur, where he was subjected to a marathon and grueling questioning for over seven hours on Wednesday, he said he had categorically told the CID that he had no no role in Tuni Kapur Garjana violence.

CID has been questioning Bhumana for two days regarding Tuni violance. On Wednesday, the questioning began at 11 am and ended at 7 pm.

CID has given an option of choosing a place of interrogation between Guntur or Rajahmundry. Subsequently, Bhumana chose Guntur. For the past two days, CID questioned Bhumana in Guntur.

He said: “CID is questioning me for the past two days. Whenever the CID asks me to appear, will attend. I told the CID very clear terms that I am not behind the Tuni violence. Tuni rally turned violent because of the TDP government’s failure. Chandrababu Naidu is blaming the opposition parties for Tuni violence. The idea is to cause damage to the image of YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.” He strongly demanded a CBI inquiry into Tuni violence.
