Chris Gayle Scared Of Women?
A superstar status and massive fan following - you would think that ace batsman Chris Gayle would have legions of girlfriends.
But the West Indian cricketer confessed that he is scared of women. The reasons are not far to seek. In January last year, Australian media was agog with reports that he exposed himself to therapist Leanne Russell. Following the ludicrous reports, the star batsman sued Fairfax Media newspapers The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and The Canberra Times. The newspapers said the all-rounder exposed himself to masseuse Leanne Russell - who was working for the West Indies team -- in a dressing room at the 2015 World Cup in Sydney and "indecently propositioned" her. She told the NSW Supreme Court she went to the changing room to look for a towel and came across Gayle.
The story after that is well-documented which said that Gayle removed his towel and offered it to her, exposing himself to her. While what impact it had on the masseuse is not written, the subsequent court cases surely left Gayle shaken. He confessed that he is scared of women after that incident.
Interestingly, it was in Australia that Gayle attempted to flirt with an Australian presenter during a broadcast interview, asking her out on a date before adding the "Don't blush baby" remark.
