Chiranjeevi faces students’ ire in Srikakulam
Demanding his resignation in support of Samaikyandhra state, students on Tuesday attacked Union Tourism Minister K Chiranjeevi in Srikakulam district.
The incident took place in Rajam town when the actor turned -politician arrived to visit the flood affected areas. Mild tension prevailed in the town when a group of students pelted stones on Chiranjeevi’s car. The students raised slogans against the Chiranjeevi to go back. They also demanded for his resignation in favour of united Andhra Pradesh. He was at the GMR Varalakshmi care hospital at the time of incident.
Sensing the trouble, Chiranjeevi left the place immediately and police made arrangements to ensure a smooth passage to the convoy. The attempt to block Chiranjeevi's car was thwarted by the police and chased the protestors away.
