In a big blow to TDP in Khammam district, senior leader and former Minister Tummala Nageswar Rao announced his decision to join the TRS along with several other leaders very soon.

He held a meeting with his supporters and discussed the same with them in Sattupalli on Sunday. He also announced that he would join the TRS in the presence of TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao in a few days.
Tummala Nageswara Rao, who was sore at his sidelining in the party, announced his resignation from the TDP and faxed his resignation letter to AP CM and TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu. Along with Tummala, his large number of supporters also sent resignation letters to Chandrababu.
Sources said that the TDP leadership is preparing ground for initiating action against the leaders who are switching loyalities. They are trying to disqualify the deserters under the Anti Defection Act.
