The Banjara Hills police registered a cheating case against Director Vamsi Krishna on the charge of duping a a young hero to the tune of Rs 35 lakh.

Aravind, who shot to fame with 'Joru' film, approached the police and lodged a complaint alleging that the director had cheated him by promising to make him a hero. He told the police that he had been duped by Vamsi Krishna. Vamsi, a resident of Srinagar Colony, issued a media statement stating that he is producing a film  under V-Dream Entertainment banner.

Aravind had approached Vamsi and requested him to give hero chance in his upcoming  film. Aravind also paid Rs 35 lakshs when Vamsi accepted him to make a hero. He demanded the director to return his money when the film did not go on floors. However, he did not pay the amount. The director also threatened  Aravind with dire consequences when the latter insisted on return of the money.
