Cheater lures Youth in the name of Govt jobs, dupes them!!
Hyderabad: At least eight persons have been cheated of lakhs of rupees on the pretext of a job in Telangana Secretariat after they were allegedly given fake appointment letters by , police said on Saturday.
A probe has been launched into the complaints by the victims after the matter came to light as they went to the Secretariat along with the appointment letters provided by the culprits and showed it to senior officials of different departments, police said. The senior officials informed that no such recruitment drive had been conducted and found that the appointment letters were fake. Later, they approached the Hyderabad Police Commissioner seeking to probe the matter, a senior police officer of Central Crime Station (CCS) said.
At least eight victims have stated that they paid lakhs of rupees to one contract employee working in the Secretariat and the six agents after the contract employee conducted their interviews and offered them appointment letters, the senior police officer said. CCS Police refused to divulge much details about the accused were nabbed and their names saying the matter was under investigation.
