Cheap Phone Battery Explodes, Burns Chinese Man’s Face
Beijing: A Chinese man burnt his face after he tried to replace his phone battery with a new one in a mobile store.
According to reports, an unidentified man bought a new battery from an e-commerce store and visited a nearby mobile store to get the old battery replaced with new one. He borrowed a tweezer from a mobile store and tried to remove the old battery. The battery exploded emitting flames after the man accidentally made a hole in it.
"The man told me he bought a battery from an online store as they are available at lower prices and he borrowed tweezers to replace the battery by himself," the mobile store owner said. "Customers in the shop ran out of the store after the phone exploded," he added.
