Changing Stance Is The Norm of Chandrababu: YS Jagan

Prakasham: Addressing a public meeting in Kanigiri, Prakasham district on Saturday as part of his historic walkathon, Praja Sankalpa Yatra, Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSR Congress Party Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy compared state chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu with a chameleon. He said t CM also changes his stances according to the need in regards to the demand for Special Category Status (SCS) for AP.

YS Jagan mentioned that over the last four years, Chandrababu never bothered to keep up the promises he made before the elections. He was not concerned about anything and never did any good for the public, he informed and added that similarly he was not keen on SCS for the state.

YSRCP Chief alleged that the CM was claiming that Special Package for AP was much better than having SCS. "Now that the elections are just a year away and having understood the pulse of the public, he is playing a new drama of demanding SCS. Over the last four years we have been ruled by lies and false promises. Have we ever been happy in the last four years," he questioned.

He alleged that the CM was leading the most corrupt state government that has become synonymous with corruption, commissions and misuse of power. Everyone in the TDP government was involved in corruption from top to bottom and they were not sparing even sand and mud, he pointed out.

YS Jagan said that the corruption at the top level has percolated to the bottom wherein the Janmabhoomi committees are demanding bribes. The corruption has become so rampant that even for issuing pensions and for constructing toilets money is the prime thing, he pointed out. "And the money accumulated through corruption is being used to lure the MLAs from opposition parties," he informed the massive gathering after his padayatra on the 96th day.

Surprisingly, the person who is the kingpin of corruption has no case filed against him and there is no one to question him, YS Jagan said mentioning about Chandrababu. He said that the influence of the CM over the constitutional bodies in the state is ensuring that he is not put behind the bars, whereas a small employee who is caught taking bribe will be suspended immediately.

The Leader of the Opposition pointed out that the TDP government doesn't have the courage to declare the MLAs, who have shifted party affiliations, as ineligible and go for fresh elections by issuing tickets to the same persons because the fear of having to face defeat. "Moreover, the CM has made these MLAs as ministers in his cabinet," he observed.

Chandrababu's attitude towards liquor ban before the elections and after elections had changed drastically, YS Jagan said and added that he was not sure if we would get drinking water in AP villages but was very confident that liquor bottle would be delivered at the doorstep on a phone call. He promised to change the way governance would be conducted in the state with the help and blessings of the public.
