Chandrababu’s Assembly Constituency Lacks Basic Amenities: YS Jagan
Ramachandram (Chittoor): Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu neglected his Assembly constituency of Kuppam and also Chandragiri where people are not provided with basic amenities, Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said.
Addressing a public meeting on the 61st day of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra, here on Saturday, he said Chandrababu's school lies in dilapidated condition, 70 percent of villages do not have access to clean drinking water and the promises 100-bed hospital is still in the planning stage. "Chittoor district is famous for mango cultivation.
However, private operators are reducing the prices when the same farmers try to sell their produce. Similar is the fate of sugarcane farmers. They are forced to sell their crop for a loss. Is the state government not concerned about the plight of these farmers?" YS Jagan asked the massive crowd in Ramachandrapuram.
The tenure of Chandrababu always witnesses the growth of private factories and industries whereas the farmer who cultivates the land and tries to sell his produce is facing huge losses forcing the hapless ryots to resort to extreme measures, the YSRCP chief said. Recalling the chief ministership of late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, he said cooperative sugar mills were revived and students were provided with scholarships without fail.
Stating that the YSRCP government will continue the high standards of administration set by YS Rajasekhara Reddy, he said students will be provided funds to pursue higher studies, farmers will be given funds at the beginning of sowing season and Rs 2,000 pension for SC, ST, BC and other minority community people.
