Chandrababu’s All Party Meet Too Late: CPI
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu convened an All-Party meeting in the secretariat here today. The leaders discussed bifurcation issues and deliberated on the promises made to the state in the State Reorganization Act at the time of AP bifurcation. Speaking at the meeting, CPI leader Madhu said, "No other state in the country has seen the amount of injustice done to Andhra Pradesh. The centre is not even implementing the Act, which was passed in the Parliament. It would have been better in the interest of the state, if the All Party meetings were conducted in the past four years. These meetings would have put pressure on the central government. On the other hand, BJP President Amit Shah has written a letter to Chandrababu to gain political mileage in the state. BJP's target is to act against the federal inspiration."

Replying to Madhu's comments, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu opined that AP was an as yet underdeveloped residuary state and that such issues have to be dealt with sensibly. "The centre is creating such a ruckus, now that we are demanding the due promises made to the state. Had I demanded from day one, all of you would have asked me to be patient with the issue. With the best interests of the state in mind, we had adopted a cautious approach to the matter from the beginning," Chandrababu said.
