Chandrababu wrote letters asking for state bifurcation: BJP - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: Senior BJP leader Somu Veerraju has criticized AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu in the State Legislative Council today. He has accused the Chief Minister of writing letters on two occasions to the centre asking for bifurcation of the state.

"Except for the CPI, all parties have agreed for the bifurcation of the state. All the parties have asked for equitable justice to both the states but no one has asked what is needed for Andhra Pradesh. BJP is the only party to have spoken in Parliament at the time of bifurcation and the needs of AP," the state's senior BJP leader pointed out.

"The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has fought for United Andhra in AP while fighting for bifurcation in Telangana. After bifurcation, TDP has given 1,200 election promises and has failed to fulfill any of them. Instead, Chandrababu is criticizing the central government. The AP Reorganization Act provided for 10 years time to complete the bifurcation promises, but BJP did them in only three years. We stand by the development of Andhra Pradesh," he added.
