Chandrababu Worked Hard To Divert Public Attention From SC Order
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu worked hard to divert public attention from the Supreme Court order in the infamous 'vote for notes' scam, YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said here on Monday.
Highlighting the sequence of events of the day, YS Jagan said the Governor's address started at 11:06 am whereas the Supreme Court a hearing in the case at 11:10 am. "Afraid that the court hearing and its subsequent notice might create a ruckus in the media, the Chief Minister worked hard and went to great lengths to divert public attention from the matter. Else, what was the need for him to address the media for the second time in the day and repeat almost every word that the Governor already said," the YSRCP chief pointed out.
Stating that the issue of Supreme Court notice to a serving chief minister is a serious matter, YS Jagan said Chandrababu should take moral responsibility and resign. "Remember, he was caught red-handed with audio and video evidence in the vote for notes scam," YS Jagan said. "Till date he has clarified on the voice in the audio tape where he was heard saying 'briefed me' and has always ducked questions regarding the voice," the YSRCP leader added.
Strongly condemning the chief minister's attitude in making light of the Supreme Court notice, YS Jagan said instead of admitting his guilt Chandrababu is working hard to divert public attention in the case.
