Chandrababu Tarnished Image of Andhra Pradesh: YSRCP
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has tarnished the image of the state internationally by colluding with investors from Japan, said YSR Congress Party MLA Srikanth Reddy.
Srikanth Reddy along with Amjad Basha and Kadapa Mayor Suresh Babu convened a press conference here in the city today. The YSRCP MLA said that Chandrababu is determined to ensure that the Special Category Status issue fizzles out, as also the current agitation taken up by the YSRCP. In order to pass the buck on to the Centre, the chief minister was trying to enact yet another drama now, the MLA alleged.
YSRCP President and Leader of the Opposition in AP Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would go to any extent in achieving the Special Category Status tag keeping in view the interest of the state's people.
"In a video, minister Ch Adinarayana Reddy had spoken openly about the corruption in TDP's rule and this has taken everyone by surprise because of the outright means employed by them to make illegal wealth. The minister said, in the video, that the CM had directed his party cadre to earn money through illegal means by colluding with bureaucrats. This has tarnished the image of Andhra Pradesh," he remarked.
The TDP cadre is making huge amounts of money by dealing with real estate business, he said. When the opposition party had launched protests demanding Special Category Status to the state, Chandrababu Naidu diverted the issue by bringing Special Package issue. It is Chandrababu who has mortgaged the self-respect of the people of AP, in the national capital Delhi, he pointed out.
