Chandrababu inaugurates  Amaravathi Urban forest - Sakshi Post

Amravathi, Vijayawada: Chandrababu Naidu on Friday inaugurated urban forest park 'Amravathi' at Kotturu Tadepalli village in the new Ap capital city.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said the state government has decided to develop 15 such parks in all the 13 districts of the state and the move will check air pollution.

Chandrababu, along with Union environment minister Prakash Javadekar planted a sapling at a Zilla Parishad High School at the village, located on the outskirts of Vijayawada. He appealed to the people to plant one sapling at least once in a year and asked for their contribution to transform the state into 'Harithandhra Pradesh'.

In order to promote afforestation and environment conservation, the state government would undertake activities on every third Saturday of the month he said. Chandrababu on the occasion thanked Javadekar for approval to allocate 15,000 acre forest land to Andhra Pradesh in the capital region.
