Chandrababu Government Has No Moral Right to Celebrate Women's Day

Hyderabad: With the TDP government on one hand and the party MLAs and leaders on the other resorting to atrocities on women on a day-to-day basis, they have no moral right to conduct the women's day celebrations, said YSR Congress Party MLA Roja on Monday.Speaking to media, Roja demanded the removal of minister Ravela Kishore Babu from the cabinet for his son's assault on a woman.

"We are seeing some atrocity or the other on women by the government itself and the ruling party leaders at various levels. The minister's son attempted to assault on a woman in full public view in Hyderabad. Minor girl Indumati was burnt alive in Eluru. Hundreds of women were forced into sex racket by TDP leaders in call money scam. Rishiteshwari was forced to commit suicide. A woman MRO was thrashed by an MLA in full public view. What is your moral right to conduct women's day celebrations?" she questioned.

She demanded an apology from actor, Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna for his derogatory remarks against women. She derided Nara Lokesh for his indulgence in vulgar activities in clubs.
