Chandrababu Determined To Go Ahead With ‘Beach Festival’, Come What May
Vizag: AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday asserted that the proposed 'Beach Festival' is being organised to showcase AP and promote tourism.
Addressing the AP Science Congress held here, the chief minister tried to convince the audience that his government would not take any decision that is not in tune with the Indian culture and traditions. “I will be the first person in the government to oppose any move that goes against the Indian culture and traditions. We will keep this in mind while organizing any cultural festival in the state," he said. He deplored the way the issue was being 'blown out of proportion' by the Opposition to 'damage' the image of the state.
The government is planning to organise the beach festival in a novel way to leave the state's imprint on the world tourism map, he said. The three-day festival will be held in the Port City from February 12, 2017.
It may be recalled that the YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy and several opposition parties objected to the government’s decision to conduct the ‘Beach Festival’.
