Chain-snatching in KBR Park, thief caught

Hyderabad: On Wednesday morning, a women was attacked by a chain snatcher in broad daylight near KBR Park, Banjara Hills.He had attacked her and left her injured. However, the woman resisted him and raised an alarm, leading to bystanders overpowering him.

When the man tried to snatch her chain and mobile phone , the women raised an alarm following which the onlookers caught and thrashed him. Later, they handed him over to the police. The chain-snatcher was identified as Kalaapi Santosh and he has 6 cases filed against him for stealing bikes and snatching chains. The police said he was released only on August 31 from prison.

Naveena, the victim said that the Santhosh threatened to kill her if the chain isn't given to him.
