Chain Snatchers are on the Prowl Again

Bike-borne Miscreants Flee with Mangalasutram from Housewife at Langar Hauz

Hyderabad: The chain snatching spree is continuing despite stern warning by the police.Two bike borne miscreants snatched a six tolas mangalasutram from a housewife doing her morning chores in front of her house at Gandhi Nagar in Langar Hauz area in the early hours on Monday. The victim said two persons came on a pulsar bike and lingered at the corner of the street for a while. Then one of them came to her house and murmered something. As she was trying to comprehend the situation, the miscreant who was tall and lean pulled her mangalasutram and then both fled. As it was early morning, not many people were out on the street and her shouting for help went in vain.

The police said these chain snatchers might be the duo that involved in another incident three days back. Search is going.
