'Centre trying to get shares in Singareni Collieries'
Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao convened a review meeting on Singareni Collieries in Hyderabad on Monday.
He ordered the officials to increase the production of coal to 65 million metric tonnes.
He announced that the government would form a committee to study the possibility of taking other coal mines on lease. He said the Union Government was trying to get some shares in the Singareni Collieries.
He ordered the officials to complete the power projects which can produce power to a tune of 1200 MW by next year.
Several important decisions like giving Telangana increment for Singareni employees and reversing dismissal of employees were taken in the meeting.
