Central Government Must Grant Special Status For Andhra Pradesh: YSRCP

New Delhi: The Central government must grant special status for Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy said.

Addressing the media after a meeting of leaders of various political parties ahead of the Parliament session, here on Sunday, he said issues of minimum support price for farmers, Vizag railway zone, Polavaram project, women's reservation bill and deficit budget of AP were suggested by him to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Budget Session of Parliament from Monday was "very important" and that the government takes suggestions given by all political parties "very seriously." The Prime Minister said the Standing Committees work away from the media glare and members give their views without political bias, with only national interest in mind.
