CBSE tightens security for NEET-2 after leakage of EAMCET paper
Hyderabad: With the leakage of question paper of Telangana EAMCET-2, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is taking stringent steps to prevent malpractice for the upcoming NEET Phase-2 exam scheduled for July 24.
The national-level exam will be held at four centers - Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Warangal and Vijayawada and approximately 20,000 candidates from the two Telugu states will be appearing for the exam. The exam will be held from 10am to 1pm and the candidates will be allowed to enter between 7.30am and 9.30am.
The leakage of EAMCET 2 question papers has sent shock-waves among students following which many of them have pinned their hopes on NEET II.
It may be recalled that The Telangana police chief on Wednesday ordered a CID probe into alleged leakage of question paper of EAMCET-II, conducted for admissions to medical courses.
The action came after parents and students groups staged a protest. Activists of Students Federation of India (SFI), All India Students’ Federation (AISF) and other groups on Wednesday morning staged a sit-in at JNTU, demanding probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The students groups and parents raised doubts after many meritorious students failed to get good rank while students who did not perform well in EAMCET-I secured top ranks.
